A Complete Wardrobe Assessment / Clean out

I find that you asked my help as a stylist because you want to improve the way you look, as you might feel insecure about your current appearance. As I went through systematically through your wardrobe, we piled up your clothes in five groups:

1. No longer fits you
2. No longer like them
3. You have got no occasion to wear them
4.You have forgotten it exists
5. You currently wear them

However, having all the clothes out of the wardrobe here are three garments I would like to discard from your gardrobe (from left to right):

  1. The long shapeless flower print dress:
  2. Wearing all one colour or a dress in an all-over big print will seemingly add two sizes to your apple bodyshape apparence.
  3. Not wearing a belt makes your tummy
  4. Light and bright colors draw attention to whichever area you don’t want to (chest and tummy)
  5. Having an apple shape and wearing no bra is also a big “No” if you want to look flattering
  • The black sheet type top with layers: (The skirt looks good)
  • Layers of fabrics make your bust look fuller and loose
  • Not wearing a bra is disavantageos
  • Maternity cut top:
  • Round necklines make your upper body bigger and rounder
  • The shape of the top makes your tummy look bigger and presses down your bust.
  • Lines that carry the eye horizontally across the figure will give a shorter, wider look.

Items I don’t recommend you to wear:

We can now select the perfectly fitted outfits for your bodytype. As you have an apple shaped body, for your top half we want to accentuate your slim arms and décolletage, whilst we will be bringing some shape to your waist and balancing the torso. However, for your bottom line we want to accentuate your slim legs and bring balance to your frame by creating flow from your top half to your bottom half.

Please find bellow six of my selected outfits and comments why do they suit you best (from left to right):

  1. Black highwaited trousers, gold belt a simple t-shirt:
  2. Dark coloured highwaisted trousers gives more shape to the belly and the leggs look longer and thinner too
  3. The slim belt creates a waist
  4. This is tje perfect pair of trousers as it’s flat fronted, with a deep waistband. They fasten on the side so avoids adding any extra bumps to generous belly.
  • Long dress with asymmetrical motifs:
  • A wide V-neckline is the perfect accompaniment, breaking up the chest
  • Empire line dresses will create balance and will disguise any areas you want to hide. The large print will keep all eyes on them whilst breaking up their frame and slimming your figure.
  • Black strapless top and white lace skirt:
  • The lace white skirt makes your bottom half look slightly bigger, which makes a great balance between your upper half.
  • Also the A-line skirt with the this golden belt compliments your waist
  • Greyish blue A-line dress with ¾ sleeves:
  • The ¾ dress with a little bit of flare for balance and it shows off your slim ankles and calves
  • The big V-shaped necklace breakes up the chest
  • Top and busy trusers with black leather jacket:
  • A tie at the waist, looks fantastic on your shape as it helps to create a waist, and the extra detail in this area helps to disguise your heavy mid section
  • Short ¾ T-shirt type dress:
  • Darker colours and the use of matte fabrics on top can help minimise and slim a torso
  • Shorter length dresses will show off your great legs
